Staff Training Begins Thursday, June 22, 2006

Summer is just around the corner, and with it another season of summer camp at Johnsonburg. We have put together yet another wonderful staff and they will arrive for their pre-camp training on Thursday, June 22.

Every summer our staff is one of the major keys to our success. This year we have hired about 100 college and high school students to fill such varied positions as kitchen crew, lifeguard, web administrator, and counselor. We are excited about the many gifts they bring with them to share with the children who will spend time here at J'burg this summer.

Before the season begins, we take them through an extensive week-long training that covers such topics as behavior management, listening and communication skills, first aid, age group characteristics, and policies and procedures, to name a few. We ask that you keep all of us here at Johnsonburg in your prayers as we attempt once again to make an impact in the lives of our youth.
