Online Registration Now Open for Summer 2008
It may be cold outside, but here at Johnsonburg we're thinking about summer! Our schdule is set and we are currently taking registrations for our 2008 summer camping program.
Many familiar events return for this summer like elementary village, girl power, Delaware river canoe trips, ropes and rocks, LTP, senior high hangout, and others. No matther what the event, though, our focus, as always, is on accepting and valuing each camper for who they are as a child of God and providing them a fun and safe place to learn about themselves, their faith, and their God.
This summer we have some exciting new unit offerings:
All For Boys - This unit allows junior boys (entering grades 6 & 7) the opportunity to be boys. We'll do a lot of fun activities and spend time talking about being a young man in today's world.
M.A.D. Camp - This junior high unit (entering grades 8 & 9) is for those with creative side. You'll learn to express yourself through music, art, and/or drama.
J-burg Book Club - For junior highs who love books and talking about them. We'll choose one book for campers to read in advance and them spend time talking about that book (and other things we like to read, while at camp). There will also be plenty of time to find a nice quiet spot in the beautiful camp setting to read.
Hike and Paddle - This unit is for senior highs with a sense of adventure. We'll spend 3 days canoeing on the Delware River until we reach the Delaware Water Gap. At that point, we'll ditch the canoes and spend an overnight hiking the famous Appalachian Trail.
All of our units participate in daily Bible study, swimming, boating, archery, and all the other favorite camp activities. We expect many of these units to fill up fast, so register soon to make sure you reserve a space in the unit of your choice. You can register one of three ways: online, by clicking here, by mailing in a completed registration form, or by phone.
To help families with multiple children attending camp (or one child attending multiple events) we’re offering a $25 reduction in the cost of camp for each additional registration after the first. For example, if a family sends two children to camp, the first will be billed at full cost and the second will be given a $25 discount. Please call if you have any questions!
If you would like a copy of our camp brochure mailed to you, or if you have any other questions, please contact us by calling 908-852-2349 or email at info@campjburg.org.
