Space Still Available in Leadership Training Program!
The start of summer camp is just around the corner, but we still have spaces left in the 3rd session of our Leadership Training Program which runs from July 27 - August 16. If you are completing your sophomore or junior year of high school and are looking for an amazing experience, please read on.
Camp Johnsonburg's Leadership Training (LT) Program is a three-week event designed to give participants training and practice in several key areas of leadership such as active listening, decision-making, conflict resolution, and behavior management. In addition, the nature of the program allows close relationships to form among participants. Many past LT's consider the LT program one of the best experiences of their lives.
The program starts with LT's spending 2 weeks as a camp unit receiving training from experienced Johnsonburg staff in the areas named above, as well as many others. Then LT's are placed as "junior counselors" in camper units for the third week and have a chance to apply the skills and training from the first two weeks. It all adds up to an experince where LT's gain valuable skills and possibly lifelong friends.
