Johnsonburg Camp and Retreat Center is a non-profit, christian camp and retreat center that offers memorable New Jersey overnight Christian summer camp programs, year-round youth retreats, family fun days, church retreats, and guest group rentals. Over our 60+ year history, we have been counted as one of New Jersey's most beloved summer camp and christian retreat centers. All are welcome.
Located in the northwest region of New Jersey's beautiful highlands, Johnsonburg Camp and Retreat Center is a place where people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds are welcomed to experience God in a serene environment. We are conveniently located about 10 minutes from I-80 Hackettstown and Hope exits.

Camp Johnsonburg : The Impact and The Numbers
This past summer, Johnsonburg—along with our campers and their families—participated in the Effective Camp Project, a groundbreaking study created by Sacred Playgrounds. Through this research, we gained meaningful insight into both our strengths and the areas where we can continue to grow. We’re excited to share some of these results with you and highlight just how impactful summer camp is for young people today!
