Social Justice Cohort
The Social Justice Cohort (SJC) at Johnsonburg is a program for high school students that are committed to learning about Social Justice and issues plaguing different communities. The SJC intends to provide a unique environment in which students can come together to explore issues of racial and social justice and creation-care, as a vision and practice within a life of faith. The participants will grow in faith and their thinking around themselves their communities, and their world will be greatly expanded through hands-on service and sharing what they have learned with others.
Participants in previous cohorts are welcome to attend through the time they graduate high school and may be given additional leadership opportunities.
This year's theme is Food Insecurity. The program is a combination of a retreat, hands-on service projects, monthly zoom meetings and closing celebration. All are encouraged to apply! Scholarships are available!
