We've been doing summer camp since 1960, and it shows. We've been trusted by parents since the first day, and that's why some of our campers have grandparents who went here and still look forward to visiting.
The pandemic has been hard on everyone, but most especially our kids. They've lost opportunities to grow. To experiment. To make new friends. To make memories without a care in the world. To trust themselves...other kids...and adults.
We're ready for that, and we're ready for them.

In 2024, we're offering adventure camps for kids in grades 6-12.
Highlights
All Camps are led by staff with considerable intensive training in youth development and care.
Though many activities are things campers have never done before, we provide great staff, great lodging, great meals, and all the equipment needed. Just bring your clothes, a pillow, and a sleeping bag.
Johnsonburg's programs are designed for anyone, including kids who have never stayed away from home before. We are a strong, but gentle community.
Adventure Trek

Adventure Trek was one of our most popular camps last year and a great option for any middle or high schooler. We will spend some time paddling, hiking, climbing--who knows what the adventure will be? Our campers will split some time between our site, where they will have ample opportunities to enjoy our zip-line, glacially carved lake, and expansive woods. Then, they'll head off-site to spend some time paddling on a river, hiking a piece of the AT, and climbing on rocks.
Grades 6-8: July 7-12
Grades 9-12: July 21-26
Highlights
Campers get a little bit of everything--hiking, climbing, and river time.
Campers will get to spend an overnight off Jburg property, learning and following the Leave No Trace ethos.
A comfy home base at our property allows them to work hard and play hard when it's time, knowing that they can look forward to delicious meals and a cozy cabin to support each day
